This is a riveting thriller that I didn't want to put down. I'm ready for the second. The most heroic character in this story is a dog named Cody, retired from wartime service in the Marines. This book is well worth the five stars I rated it. The story is totally out there, most of it has retroactive explanations stuck in to attempt to make it believable. No problem : he puts the gun away, so now you get to attack him with your skills in martial arts. But what is their real agenda? All of the characters are superficial stock figures, even the dog, and too few lawyers get killed.
